MoveLock - Terms & Conditions
Effective date: September 10, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a contract between you and SportBoost AI Inc. (“SportBoost,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the SportLock iOS app and related services (the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, or using SportLock, you agree to these Terms and to the SportLock Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms govern SportLock only. They do not replace, modify, or supersede Strava’s Terms of Service, Strava’s Privacy Policy, or Apple’s terms. If anything in these Terms would be inconsistent with Strava’s terms as they apply to your Strava account, Strava’s terms control for that Strava account.

1. Who provides SportLock
SportLock is provided by:
SportBoost AI Inc.
6650 Rue Saint-Urbain
Montréal, QC H2S 3H1
Canada
SportLock is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Strava, Inc., Strava Ireland Limited, or Apple Inc. “Strava” and related marks belong to Strava. “Apple,” “App Store,” “Face ID,” and “Screen Time” belong to Apple.
2. The Service
SportLock lets you:
connect your own Strava account so yesterday’s moving time can fund today’s app allowance
choose apps to restrict with Apple Screen Time
configure a minimum allowance, off-days, and an emergency override
optionally connect one accountability buddy
subscribe or purchase a lifetime unlock for premium features after a free trial
The Service is provided as is for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher age required to form a contract in your country. If you are under the age of majority, you may use SportLock only with a parent or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
You must also comply with Strava’s age requirements if you connect Strava.
4. Your account
You sign in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for your device, Apple ID, and any activity under your SportLock account.
You agree to provide accurate information (including a buddy username that does not impersonate others) and to keep your account secure.
We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
5. Strava
5.1 Optional connection
Connecting Strava is optional. If you connect it, you authorize SportLock to access your Strava athlete profile and activity data as described in the Privacy Policy, solely to operate SportLock for you.
5.2 Your Strava account
You can open or manage your Strava account at https://www.strava.com and manage connected apps at https://www.strava.com/settings/apps.
You can disconnect SportLock in SportLock Settings or by revoking access in Strava. That stops our access and triggers deletion of your Strava data from SportLock as described in the Privacy Policy.
5.3 Strava’s rules still apply
Your use of Strava remains subject to Strava’s terms and policies. SportLock does not grant you any extra rights in Strava’s platform, API, or data.
We do not sell access to Strava. Premium SportLock fees are for SportLock features (accountability, enforcement, and related tools), not for Strava itself.
5.4 No endorsement
Nothing in SportLock implies that Strava created, reviewed, or approved SportLock.
6. Screen Time, restrictions, and emergency override
SportLock uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity APIs. Apple — not SportBoost — controls how those APIs work. Limits may be less precise than a minute-by-minute timer.
You choose which apps to restrict. You are responsible for not restricting apps you need for safety, work, or accessibility.
Off-days and the Face ID emergency override exist so you are not fully locked out. Do not rely on SportLock as a parental-control or enterprise-MDM product.
7. Athletic activity and health disclaimer
You use SportLock and you exercise at your own risk.
Any activity totals, allowances, streaks, or insights in SportLock are for personal motivation and education only. They are not medical, nutritional, or professional advice. They are not a diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a physician before starting or changing an exercise program.
SportBoost is not responsible for injury, property damage, or other loss arising from your workouts, from following or ignoring anything in the app, or from using geolocation or outdoor sport.
8. Accountability buddy
Buddy features are optional. You should only connect with someone you know and trust. SportBoost does not verify buddies’ identities, is not a party to your relationship, and is not responsible for a buddy’s approval, refusal, delay, or misuse.
Do not use buddy features to harass, stalk, or control another person. We may disable buddy features that we reasonably believe are being abused.
9. Subscriptions, trial, and lifetime unlock
Some features require a paid plan after a 7-day free trial.
We may offer:
auto-renewing monthly subscription
auto-renewing yearly subscription
a lifetime unlock (one-time purchase, not a subscription)
Prices, duration, and the exact feature set are shown in the App Store purchase sheet at the time of purchase and may change for future buyers.
9.1 Apple billing
Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Apple processes the transaction. Manage, change, or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions).
Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. After cancellation, you keep access until the period you already paid for ends.
Unused portions of a free trial are forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted by Apple’s rules.
9.2 Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies, except where mandatory consumer law (including Québec consumer protection law) gives you additional rights.
9.3 Restore
Use Restore Purchases in SportLock Settings to restore a subscription or lifetime unlock on a device signed in with the same Apple ID.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
use the Service for anything illegal
attempt to bypass Screen Time restrictions in a way that harms others or violates Apple’s rules
scrape, harvest, or bulk-export Strava data through SportLock
share your account or use someone else’s Strava account
reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows
upload malware or overload our or Strava’s systems
imply that SportLock is a Strava product
use SportLock to train AI/ML systems on Strava data
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
11. Intellectual property
SportLock, our name, logo, and the look of the app are owned by SportBoost AI Inc. or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.
You keep rights in content you submit (for example a buddy-request reason). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content solely to operate the Service.
Feedback you send us may be used to improve SportLock without obligation to you.
12. Third-party services — required disclaimers
SportLock relies on third-party platforms, including Strava, Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, Screen Time, push notifications, Face ID), and Google Firebase.
Those third-party service providers make no warranties to you of any kind, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.
Those third-party service providers are not liable to you for any consequential, special, punitive, incidental, or indirect damages arising out of or related to SportLock or their platforms.
Third-party services may change, break, rate-limit, or become unavailable. We are not responsible for outages or changes on Strava, Apple, or Google. If Strava revokes API access, allowance based on Strava activities may stop until you reconnect or we provide another source.
Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and that third party.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPORTLOCK IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” SPORTBOOST DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EXERCISE TOTALS, ALLOWANCES, OR SCREEN TIME ENFORCEMENT WILL BE COMPLETE OR PRECISE.
Some jurisdictions (including Québec) do not allow certain warranty disclaimers. In those places, this section applies only to the extent permitted, and your mandatory legal warranties remain.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPORTBOOST AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF SPORTLOCK, YOUR ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES, SCREEN TIME RESTRICTIONS, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.
SPORTBOOST’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) CAD $50 OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR SPORTLOCK IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
This limit does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where such a limit is forbidden, or for our fraud.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify SportBoost and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of: your use of SportLock; your athletic activities; content you submit; your buddy interactions; or your violation of these Terms or of Strava’s or Apple’s terms.
16. Termination
You may stop using SportLock at any time by deleting the app, resetting data in Settings, and/or emailing us to delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access if you breach these Terms, if we lose Strava API access, or if we discontinue SportLock. Sections that should reasonably survive (including 7, 12–15, 17, and 18) will survive.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Québec courts have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law lets you sue in your home jurisdiction.
If you live in the European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the law of your Member State.
18. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect legal or product changes. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the effective date. Material changes may also be noted in the app.
Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using SportLock and request deletion.
19. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and SportBoost for SportLock. If a provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization or sale of the business.
Headings are for convenience only.
20. Contact and support
SportBoost — not Strava or Apple — provides support for SportLock.
